The Motability scheme enables peoplewho receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance to acquire a Hyundai car at a preferential price from Eden.
In recognition of the special needs of Motability customers, many Hyundai models can be ordered on the 3 year Contract Hire Scheme with features such as power assisted steering, automatic gearbox and height adjustable driver's seat as standard. Many other models are available on Motability Hire Purchase at a competitive price with free metallic paint.
If you don't receive the Mobility Allowance but do hold a blue parking badge issued by your local authority, Hyundai has a special discount scheme available which offers savings off the normal on the road prices*.
All of our dealers can supply new Hyundais on this programme and can also arrange finance if required (subject to status).
HOW THE MOTABILITY SCHEME WORKS
If you receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance or the War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement, getting a new car is easier and more affordable than ever. Through Motability, you simply exchange part or all of that allowance to lease the car of your choice.
The scheme provides the support you need to enjoy worry-free motoring, including:
A. Motability may offer financial assistance towards your car, adaptions, and more, but this needs to be arranged before applying.
A. Don’t worry; we can still help. Contact us and we will advise on how you can obtain your ideal car.
A. Yes, if you’re currently receiving the higher rate mobility component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement. If you’re not receiving these allowances, you aren’t eligible beyond the age of 65.
A. You should have received an award notice from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) containing details of your allowance entitlement. If you’ve not yet received information, you should contact the DWP directly.
A. We’ve got ties to many Motability-approved adaption partners. They will provide advice and guidance to help you manage the process of organising the changes.
A. Unfortunately not, as your disability allowance is used to cover the cost of the car and this generally consumes the whole allowance.
A. You can nominate two drivers to use your Motability vehicle. If you are a disabled driver, you count as one and can choose anyone else you trust. You can change who is authorised during the lease, and a third person can be added at an additional cost. Please note that restrictions apply for drivers under 25.
A. No. Although the scheme is provided primarily for you, other nominated users can use the vehicle on their own.
A. That depends on the model type and if adaptions are required. We’ll inform you of this as soon as we know.
