The Skywell Skyhome concept presents a bold and distinctive design that draws inspiration from modern and traditional Chinese architecture. Its silhouette and long wheelbase give it an elegant, lounge-like appearance, while details such as lighting elements and uncluttered surfacing emphasise its character. Rather than relying on styling, the Skyhome focuses on calm sophistication, aiming to project a sense of balance and refinement.
Beneath the bodywork, the Skyhome uses a high-performance electric powertrain designed to deliver speed and smoothness. With power outputs reaching up to 460 kW, it's capable of rapid acceleration, reaching 62 mph in around 3.5 seconds. The Skyhome offers an advanced suspension setup with double wishbones at the front and a five-link rear arrangement. The car’s fast-charging capability is another highlight, with the ability to recharge from 20 to 80 percent in roughly ten minutes, making it suited to long journeys than many other electric luxury saloons.
The Skyhome shifts its focus toward comfort and digital luxury. The interior feels open and airy thanks to a large panoramic roof and a 32-inch curved display that dominates the dashboard. Technology plays a central role, with an intelligent voice control system designed to respond naturally to occupants without the need for repeated wake commands. Rear passengers are treated to an especially high level of comfort, with reclining massage seats and amenities such as an integrated fridge, reinforcing the idea of the Skyhome as a space to relax and travel.
The emphasis with Skyhome is on its passenger experience, particularly for those in the rear seats, rather than maximising luggage space or seating capacity. While it may not offer the everyday versatility of an SUV or five-seater vehicle, its flat electric platform, long wheelbase and rapid charging make it well-suited to long-distance, comfortable travel. Ultimately, the Skyhome prioritises luxury, innovation and refinement over traditional notions of practicality.
