Under the hood of the Peugeot 308 lies a diverse range of engine options, catering to the efficient and thrilling. Starting off are the 1.2-litre 130PS petrol and 1.5-litre 130PS diesel engines with stop/start technology, bringing exceptional efficiency of 51.9mpg and 59.6mpg on WLTP combined respectively.
If you're after hybrid versions, the 308 offers a Puretech engine with an 81kw electric motor to bring 180PS or 225PS, offering up to an impressive 242.7mpg (WLTP combined) and 37 miles of range. Engineered on the advanced EMP2 V3 platform, the plug-in hybrids maintain Peugeot's commitment to performance without compromise, with a full charge achievable in just under 2 hours. Going further, the Allure trim gains Long Range Blind Spot Detection while the GT and electric versions gain Adaptive Cruise Control. A range of driving modes are readily available depending on your model, such as Hybrid, for efficient alternation between electric and internal combustion engine driving; Eco mode, for energy conservation; and Sport mode for maximum performance.
Featuring the standard PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®, the 308 shows off a configurable 10.0-inch head-up digital instrument panel which provides easy access to connected navigation, radio/media, driving aids, and energy flow information for the Electric and Plug-in Hybrid models. Also included is a compact drive selector ‘e-Toggle’ and a multi-function steering wheel for seamless engagement. Practicality meets style with up to 412 litres of boot space in the petrol and diesel variants, making the 308 as functional as it is visually striking.
