Eden Mazda is proud to support the nationwide Motability scheme, which has been helping those with a disability to enjoy greater independence for more than 40 years.
You’ll almost certainly be eligible for the scheme if you are in receipt of one of the following:
Any of the above can be exchanged for one of our Mazda cars – and there are some great ones to choose from, including the Mazda2 hatchback and the CX-5 SUV.
Choosing a Mazda Motability car means you can enjoy hassle-free motoring with a vehicle that’s adapted to your needs. What’s more, servicing, insurance and road tax are included, so there’s no need to worry about covering those costs separately. Even if you are unable to drive, you can nominate someone to do so on your behalf.
Please read on to learn more about our Mazda Motability cars and the scheme itself. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to contact the helpful team at your nearest Eden Mazda showroom.
A. Motability may offer financial assistance towards your car, adaptions, and more, but this needs to be arranged before applying.
A. Don’t worry; we can still help. Contact us and we will advise on how you can obtain your ideal car.
A. Yes, if you’re currently receiving the higher rate mobility component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement. If you’re not receiving these allowances, you aren’t eligible beyond the age of 65.
A. You should have received an award notice from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) containing details of your allowance entitlement. If you’ve not yet received information, you should contact the DWP directly.
A. We’ve got ties to many Motability-approved adaption partners. They will provide advice and guidance to help you manage the process of organising the changes.
A. Unfortunately not, as your disability allowance is used to cover the cost of the car and this generally consumes the whole allowance.
A. You can nominate two drivers to use your Motability vehicle. If you are a disabled driver, you count as one and can choose anyone else you trust. You can change who is authorised during the lease, and a third person can be added at an additional cost. Please note that restrictions apply for drivers under 25.
A. No. Although the scheme is provided primarily for you, other nominated users can use the vehicle on their own.
A. That depends on the model type and if adaptions are required. We’ll inform you of this as soon as we know.
