Eden Motor Group Surprises Customer with £10,000 ChequeGo Back
For the second time running, Eden Motor Group has made one motorist’s year with a surprise £10,000 giveaway.
Stratford resident Colin Evans purchased a preowned Vauxhall Mokka during this year’s VIP Loyalty event, in which longstanding Eden customers are offered additional discounts when purchasing a vehicle. During the sales weekend, every customer’s name was entered in to the grand prize draw.
Last year, Emma Horn was delighted to find herself randomly selected at her local Newbury dealership. This time around, Mr. Evans wasn’t even aware he had won until he revisited the showroom.
Under the pretence that he was one of two potential winners, Mr. Evans was called back to the Stratford-upon-Avon dealership to take part in a final draw. Unbeknownst to him, the other “finalist” was an Eden employee posing as a fellow customer, the result having already been determined.
In a video shared to the group’s official Facebook page, Mr. Evans reacts with shock as the confetti flies and a cheque with his name already on it is presented by the Eden management team. On being asked who the first person he planned to tell about the windfall, a stunned Mr. Evans responded: “the wife!”
His answer to the question “What are you going to spend the money on?” was exactly the same.
“Our VIP weekends are quickly becoming an established phenomenon for those looking to change their car,” said Mike Earle, Regional General Manager for the group. “Being able to host such an extravagant giveaway after the event is a lot of fun for us, and really adds the icing on the cake.”
