Eden Basingstoke joined the Eden family in April 2013 and was the first non-Vauxhall acquisition that Eden have made.
As principal shareholder, I have spent over 25 years in the UK automotive sector and have extensive experience of delivering a customer experience combined with company growth and profitability. In establishing Eden Basingstoke we are committed to combining the best practices of Fiat with the individual service and personalization characteristic of many smaller private companies.
In a short space of time we have established the 'Eden' name as a well-recognized and reputed business in the communities in which we operate having developed a culture which is demonstrably different from every other motor retailer. Our colleagues are empowered to be genuinely customer focused and reflect the company's values of openness, absolute integrity and flexibility.
We are all dedicated to putting the needs of our customers first, in fact, we have been rewarded with a very loyal customer base and an extremely high level of new custom from referrals. Whilst Eden Basingstoke has undoubtedly created a better world of motoring for customers, we have also achieved this in the workplace with employee motivation, communication, rewards and personal development very much key to the success of the business. A radical example of this new and better world is our six day operating week. We believe that our customers deserve the very best service whenever Eden is operating and that frankly many motor retailers deliver substandard service because of staffing limitations on Sundays. We also believe that our colleagues will be more motivated and more customer focused if they benefit from at least one day every week when they have a chance to enjoy high quality family time.
All our centers are open for vehicle sales up until 9pm every Tuesday and Thursday giving our customers the opportunity to utilize our facilities in the evening thus providing increased flexibility - there is time to eat and relax after work and visit us when traffic volumes are lower; every Eden center is also open for vehicle sales until 7pm on Saturdays. This gives all our customers great opportunities to experience Eden better service whilst delivering the colleague environment that we wish.
